This year, our Fourth-Friday work parties & work weekends are focused on finishing the Drum House.
As of 2025, the community has decided to make this our new Kitchen while the Common House is Saved.
Additionally, two loft rooms will provide much needed living spaces.
Our current focus is on finishing the exterior trim, siding, & eaves. Wanted! Folx who can use power tools like chopsaws, drills on the ground level, or able to get on tall scaffolding or ladders & use drivers.

We finished the exterior panels July 8th!
This project still needs minor installation of gopher fencing along the base (there is already installed in ground along the exterior of concrete footers), tapering of land features around the structure & building retaining walls both externally & internally. Inside ground and raised beds can also be constructed.
We are looking for folx who can use hand tools like drivers, shovels, rakes, etc and experience with building rock walls.
Kitchen & logistics support is also Vital.

Moon Garden Water Works
Our Current Heart House / a.k.a. the Common House needs major repairs to support walls & the roof structure is leaking in numerous places. Some mitigation work has been done, but we need MAJOR help funding this project. Current Goal is $25,000 for starting materials (and upwards of $50000 for Bath House renovation.) This Project follows the finishing of Drum House and it’s conversion into our new kitchen. We cannot and will not renovate the Heart until the kitchen is moved.

One of the most vital projects is upgrading our water system. The Moon Garden houses our heirloom 1500 gallon cistern and a new 2500 gallon expansion. We are completely renewing the land’s hydrology infrastructure. This channel will supply a new water line into the Common House. Phase 2 will connect lines to the new Kitchen & residences (Drum House & Tea Rooms).
After Community consensus during our annual gathering in 2025, Phase 3 will be included in the deep structural renovation turning the Common House into a bath house.
Thanks to a friend who rented several jackhammers, we have achieved at least a third of the depth needed to ensure water flows during the cold winter months. Overflow will be connected to the existing tank & garden spigots.
