ZMS's New Pledge Drive! Ten years ago a beautiful 320 acre paradise was found by a handful of people who had a dream for a Faerie Sanctuary. Through generosity and hard work a jewel in the crown of the faerie community was realized. The land dubbed Zuni Mountain Sanctuary(ZMS) now stands with a beautiful common room/kitchen space, two dwellings for stewards, a studio where steward and visitors alike create, a chicken coop and the beginnings of a lush garden to feed those who stay and visit the land. The dream continues: a bath house, outdoor showers, gathering meeting space, floors for all the standing buildings, a self-sufficient community built on the principles of permaculture, are visions just over the horizon. What can we all do to make this dream reality? It takes dollars as well as physical energy to keep ZMS on the move. Large contributions do come in occasionally and the beautiful structures on the land testify to this. In order for us to make real this common vision and to maintain and update the present structures it will take a constant flow of green energy. We are initiating a pledge program where each of us can pledge as little as $10 a month to make all the dreams reality. If 100 people pledged $10 a month that's $12,000 a year or if 100 people pledged $25 a month that would provide $30,000 to the ZMS faerie community. With this prosperity we would be able to build the proposed bath, improve the solar systems, provide good care for our stewards, expand our permaculture programs, provide larger water systems, and make the land friendlier to large gatherings. Let us grow together - $10 or more a month is affordable for most. We can make the dream happen! |
